Interest Rate News from the Fed - So about a week ago we mentioned that interest rates have to go up and soon. We roasted Bernanke for his ridiculous claims of coming stability and suggested that a 2009 increase will not be soon enough.
There is some sanity in the financial circles after all. The market should begin to brace itself now for an increase as soon as next month. We hope it will be small and graduated but waiting until 2009 will force us into a more drastic climb that will not be healthy. Our current prediction is within 3 months. We'd prefer sooner rather than later.
Look for higher rates by Thanksgiving, and then give thanks that someone is looking out for your dollars.
